PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION
AND/OR CLINICAL REPORT
If you are in an immigration process and have an attorney assisting you at this time, you can call Muunar to request an appointment. It is highly recommended that you have a psychological evaluation so that your immigration case has more strength. For Muunar it is important to work directly with your lawyer so that both Muunar and your lawyer work as a team for your benefit.
Evaluations help strengthen your immigration case by providing meaningful support to your case. For example, in the evaluations to check the extreme difficulty (Extreme Hardship), the review helps establish the difficulties associated with the applicant having one when moving to another country or the consequences of being in this country without a qualified relative. In domestic violence cases, this evaluation analyzes the mental and emotional state of the victim and determines the degree of trauma and its effects associated with domestic violence. In cases of political asylum, the evaluation analyzes the circumstances in which the person lived in their country and the possible consequences that this has on their mental health.
In the immigration process, psychological evaluations can be important in strengthening your immigration case. This is where Muunar can help you. It is important that you speak directly with your immigration attorney so that you have more clarity regarding your own immigration process.
- Asylum Cases: Remember that, in the United States, there are laws to protect immigrants. Whether you fled your country due to persecution for political, religious, racial, or other reasons, you could be eligible for an asylum case. If, for some reason, your lawyer did not apply for asylum within the first year you arrived in this country, these types of evaluations would help you explain the reasons why it was difficult for you to do so, whether psychological reasons as a result of the trauma you lived or that you still live.
- Domestic Violence Cases:: VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) protects both women and men who have been victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence can include psychological, emotional, verbal, financial, sexual, or physical violence. It can obviously include the combination of one or more types of violence. It is important to see the pattern of behavior which is based on the power and control that a person exercises over their partner.
- Cases for Victims of a Crime (Visa U) If you are the victim of a crime or have a case of abuse or domestic violence and cooperate with law enforcement, you may be eligible for a U visa. Again, an evaluation can also help strengthen your case.
- Human Trafficking Visa: If you had the experience of being trafficked, there is a T visa. There are certain specific requirements that you should clarify with your lawyer in order for your process to be successful.
- Evaluations demonstrating Cases of Extreme Hardship (Extreme Hardship): The evaluations in these processes are super important to strengthen the case when you want to establish extreme difficulty. In the assessment, a detailed interview is conducted to identify the relevant historical factors and the current situations and conditions that are affecting you at this time. In addition, multiple instruments and psychological tests can be used to demonstrate how this situation is affecting you mentally and emotionally. Family members can also be interviewed in order to demonstrate the extreme difficulty they would face in having a family member who is at risk of deportation. It analyzes the potential emotional, psychological, or financial damage that would occur if the person had to relocate to their country of origin. (I-601 A o I-929)

The timing of evaluations varies according to your situation. Muunar understands that trauma has real consequences that affect your mental health. This is why the evaluation process may vary according to each person’s situation. An evaluation can take between 4 or 7 hours of interview, divided into several sessions, depending on each case. At the end of all interviews, the final report will be delivered directly to the attorney three weeks after the last appointment.
Of course! There is an additional charge when Muunar agrees to expedite the evaluation process for at least one to two weeks.
